Godsmack Rocked as Always, Disturbed and Megadeath not so much......

Mon, Aug 15, 2011 at 8:11 AM By: Jeff

It was my boyfriends and my first time seeing these amazing musicians live. We drove for 3 1/2 hours across south Florida and Godsmack could not have made every minute more worth it. Before Megadeath came on stage the producer came on telling us that the singer had hurt his shoulder the show before but they were going to play anyways, gotta love the dedication to the music and fans! Since I have been waiting since I was 6 to see them live I was ecstatic they didn't bail! I was disappointed they only played a 6 song set, but we all understood. Then came Disturbed........ By the way most of the audience was in agreement that Godsmack should have been the headliner even before hearing Disturbed play. It was the last stop on the Mayhem Fest for 2011. I have seen Disturbed 4 times before and they usually put on one hell of a show. This time however you could barley hear the singer or the Bass. The singer messed up the word in every song, and his voice was cracking when you could hear him. The drummer was almost asleep behind the drums and missing a lot of beats. In my opinion Disturbed has lost their edge. Anyways, Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Godsmack for the amazing time, getting home at 3:30 am was soooooo worth it! If you guys play with Disturbed again, be the headliner like you should have been here!
