Can someone explain to me about the VIP tickets. Does it get you better seating along with the goodies or you just get the goodies

The tickets were a lot more last year; I paid $256/person for VIP Gold in Dubuque, IA. It was a general admission show, so we didn't get any seating assignment. We did get to go in before anyone else & stake out a spot, either on the floor or in the stands. We went up against the fence, center stage. Sully's mic stand was right in front of us. My husband stood behind me with his arms around me, holding the fence. It was awesome.
Before the show we got to sit in for a sound check & got a backstage tour, The sound check was pretty cool. As far as merch we got the laminate, a photo with the band & many months later, dog tags. It looks like they changed the photo to a lithograph, which will probably be pretty cool. They posted our photos on this site There was a really small group (9 people) so we got a few extra minutes with the guys including getting autographs. At most of the venues they couldn't do autographs due to the number of people.
It was a great time!

I was going to fill you in on what you get for the Gold VIP pckg, but I see that Miss Elly has beaten me to it...Lol! The cost for the Syracuse show, rounded off is $185/person...
The Silver VIP pckg is around $100/person and comes with the bandana, a lithograph and general admission tickets...
