Selfish Sin, Selfish Pain
The pain I feel is not yours to heal,
But you have no right to break me further.
The blood I shed is not yours to clean,
So do not track it on your own feet.
The graves I dig are not yours to fill,
Though the reasoning may be mutual.
The hearts I break are not yours to steal:
Let them rest where justice has set them.
The glass I shatter is not yours to glue:
Shards are far prettier as crystals.
The sins I write are not yours to cleanse:
You are neither saint, nor sinner.
The lines I write are not yours to erase:
You have your own pen and paper.
The time I’ve lost is not yours to mourn:
Shed tears for those more worthy.
The price I pay is not yours to spend:
Dollars and coins are not the only currency.
The promise I make is not yours to fulfill:
I am the one who will decide.
The words I speak are not yours to quote:
No one listens, so answer me: why would they hear you any better?
The scars I open are not yours to close:
They are mine for a reason.
The lies I spew are not yours to forgive:
I do not need a pacifier.
The love I give is not yours to accept:
I’ve given too much too soon to too many already.
The actions I choose are not yours to control:
My muscles are not dormant.
The miles I walk are not yours to sweat:
Perspiration symbolizes loss and potential fulfillment.
The breath I breathe is not yours to bottle:
This world is filled with enough poison.
The demons I wake are not yours to defeat:
Power is a common desire.
The gods I deny are not yours to force on me:
Belief can never be a weapon.
The hunger I feel is not yours to subside:
I know what I crave and what is essential.
The tears I breed are not yours to cry:
They show me I am still human.
The money I make is not yours to spend:
Success= Inspiration+ motivation+ (2)dedication.
The threads I tie are not yours to sever:
If they were, I would make them fray instead.
The cuts I make are not yours to sew:
Self infliction makes me immune to outside brutality.
The knowledge I learn is not yours to review:
If it were, I’d be destined for failure.
The wisdom I practice is not yours to dissect:
Tearing with teeth is animal and ruins the study.
The life I live is not yours to end:
If I don’t take it, time will make that decision for the both of us.

:) Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. I think it could have been a little more organized, but I thought it had some good points in it.
If you liked this, you might like some of my other stuff.
Thanks again! \m/
