This title may not seem to make sense, but it does. Sometimes we are faces with difficult life choices and confrontations. Almost everybody tries to just "logout", but seldom ever actually resolve a conflict. These conflicts are both inside and out. Let me share something: I have one of the worst cases of stage fright that is humanly possible. I love to be on stage, but there is always a constant fear of making a fool of myself in front of an audience. But I found something that helps me channel that fear into performing at my best; and that is a positive mentality. If you really picture something the way that you want it to go, and firmly believe that you CAN and WILL make that imaginative scene become reality, you can achieve the steps that will help you do this. By really focusing on the reaction I want from the audience, my mind and body just work in perfect clockwork to remember that line in the song, certain note, or anything that I have to have in order to make a great performance. Though I do not often go on a stage, I am mentally preparing myself for the future that I want and honestly believe will happen.
So my message to you is this: to plan for the future, you must first prepare yourself for whatever may come. If you can change the way you think, you can change the way you act. By entering your realm of difficulties, you can eventually logout of that fear and become a more certain person. And since confidence is like a cold, you will not only help yourself, but the people around you. "You are a time bomb ticking away...", so make the most of life while you still have it.

I really hope that you get that job, I'm proud to hear that you've changed because it wasn't what YOU wanted to do. But of course, just imagining things can't make them so: you gotta make it happen sister! Anyway, I got faith in ya, and as long as you have faith in yourself, there's nothing stopping you :)
If you ever need any moral support and words of young wisdom, I'm always here! (Well, I don't have internet, but I'm here in theory, so know that whenever I get a chance, I'll reply for sure.)
    It's all about mentality!

I really hope you are right about imagining what will happen to make it so. I left my job last month because it was killing my soul. I have a longshot plan to land a dream job and I have a teeny tiny window coming up to take my shot. I have been keeping a very positive "this is going to happen" attitude.
As far as stage fright, I don't perform music, but I have had to stand up in front of large groups and very intense small groups. I'm not nervous before, but when I get up there I do get butterflies. I've always been told that I presented well and was very relaxed. For me it's partly luck in that it's just the way I am, but also I think it through as to what the worst thing that can happen is and how it really isn't going to be that bad and that I'll get over it.
Of course we'll see how that goes when I have to stand up and ask someone for a job that doesn't know me and probably doesn't have any open positions. It's going to be a big sell and I need to keep very calm and relaxed. I hope it works this time too!!!

I agree with you. I am, however, the exact opposite. I can go up on stage and perform for a bunch of people with little to no problem... Get me in a social setting where it's face to face and I get really bad anxiety.
