Godsmack in Detroit
Went to the Mayhem Fest this weekend with my boys. Megadeath rocked as normal but I was the most impressed with Godsmack. First time seeing them and they stole the show. I think the order was wrong, Godsmack definitely should have been the closing act. I like Disturbed by they have no energy compared to Godsmack. Plus all I could hear for Disturbed was the singer, who is great, and the double bass drum. Godsmack had it all, drum war, great songs, and a singer that knows how to work the crowd. Definitely will see them again! Great show!

No the show I am talking about was at a suburban outdoor amphitheater. The show that was was used for the Live and Inspired cd was from the Fox Theater in downtown Detroit in 2010. That theater is a very ornate movie theater from the late 1920's and seats 5,000. Great venue for concerts.

Was at the Detroit show.... Frickin AWESOME SHOW!!!!! Im so pissed that they did not headline the show. I like Disturbed but based on what I saw Godsmack out rocked everyone. I thought Megadeth was better than Disturbed...sorry, but Dave still has IT. Please come back to the Toledo area again I wanna see you guys as the headliner and hear more songs!!!!!!!!

I agree with you there. I seen Godsmack at the HOB in Myrtle Beach and I really couldn't even tell you who they played with because they kicked ass! The drum solo/ duet was worth every penny of the money I spent on tickets. I can't wait because they are coming back and I am looking forward to seeing them again!!
