Godsmack je americká heavy metalová skupina pocházející z Lawrence, Massachusetts. Kapelu tvoří frontman a skladatel písní Sully Erna, kytarista Tony Rombola, baskytarista Robbie Merrill a bubeník Shannon Larkin. Během své působnosti vydali Godsmack již pět studiových alb, jedno EP, jedno demo, tři DVD a po celém světě prodali více jak 19 milionů nahrávek.[1]
Skupina se může pyšnit třemi studiovými deskami (Faceless, IV, a The Oracle), které dobyly vrchol Billboard 200.[2] V Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks (prestižní rocková hitparáda) se patnáct písní od kapely umístilo v Top 5,[3] takového úspěchu nedosáhly ani tak světoznámé skupiny jako Linkin Park nebo Metallica.[4] Godsmack také často vystupují na velkých festivalech typu Ozzfest. V současnosti je to jedna z nejpopulárnějších heavy metalových skupin ve Spojených státech.
