Remembering Josh Eisner "J-Rock"

June 03, 2012 by Dominique GS Web

After hearing  the tragic news of my friend Josh's passing, I would personally like to send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. As a man who has met and hung out with Josh on numerous occasions over the years, I know I am not alone in saying how much he will be missed in this world, and how many fond memories he has blessed us all with in his too short life on this planet. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this; see you on the other side Josh - I will miss you my friend.

~ Shannon

Josh was a longtime Godsmack fan at the age of 14 yrs old. He was an aspiring drummer who looked up to Shannon as both a mentor & for inspiration.  He got to know the guys in the band and crew throughout the years and attended many Godsmack shows. RIP Josh, your amazing spirit will be kept alive through the gift of music and all of us who got to know you. You were a very special young man with so much talent to share.  On behalf of the whole Godsmack crew, family & fans, you will be greatly missed, but NEVER forgotten.

Josh went to my daughter's school last year. I am so very sad for his family. His friends are organizing "Josh's Challenge". They are raising money and plan to hold a rally against bullying. They also created a FB page where they go and take a pledge to say something nice and make a difference in one person's life each day. Even though Josh had moved and changed schools, he was not forgotten by his friends at SHMS. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Much love and respect from Paul Marshall and family....hearing Shannon speak of you, although we never met, was enough to know you touched people and connected with music. Your soul will be embraced by the notes played in my studio, Josh. Godspeed.

I had the honor of meeting this bright, loving and caring young man on 2 occasions. I knew from the first time I met him that he was something special. My heart is hurting immensely for his family. You are in my heart forever Josh and the Eisner family is in my prayers.
