MAYHEM FESTIVAL: Godsmacks Goal: Prove It
"Although Massachusetts-based band Godsmack has sold upward of 7 million records in its career, the hard rock outfit is looking at its summer stint on the Mayhem Festival as a proving ground. "For Godsmack, it's a chance for us to get up in front of a pretty different crowd than what we're used to. If you look at the bill -- Trivium, In Flames, Machine Head, Megadeth, Disturbed -- all of these bands are heavier than us. We're kind of the hard rock band on the tour. I missed the tour this year due to work when they came to Seattle. I sure as hell won't miss the next time they come here. Did somebody say suprise tickets for the wife?? Hell yeah!! Rock on guys!
